Respite Care
We offer flexible arrangements tailored to your needs. Our respite rooms are modern and comfortable, featuring the latest assisted bathing and hygiene facilities. A personalized care plan is prepared to ensure your stay meets your individual requirements.
Short-term guests are warmly welcomed, and our friendly, supportive staff help you settle in and enjoy as many of our amenities as possible, including home-cooked meals, sociable sitting areas, afternoon tea, beautiful gardens, and a varied activities programme.

Re-ablement Care
We provide rehabilitation care for elderly individuals needing support after a hospital stay or illness at home. Our goal is to help them regain independence quickly so they can safely return to their own homes. Assistance is offered for all aspects of daily living, and we collaborate with health professionals, such as Community Occupational Therapists, to support each person’s progress. If ongoing care is needed at home, our dedicated team can provide personalised Home Care services.
Many clients maintain contact with us, reassured that support is available in the future – whether through Home Care, Meals on Wheels, additional Re-ablement Care, or Respite Care.
Holiday Care
We offer vacation care for individuals or loved ones who need support during holidays or temporary periods.
This service is ideal for families who:
- Reside in Somerset or Cornwall and require professional 24-hour care for their loved ones while away on business or leisure.
- Are planning a holiday in Somerset or Cornwall and want nearby suitable care for their loved ones.
We provide a limited number of day care places and can create customised day care packages to meet individual needs, including assistance with personal care and bathing. For those considering respite or permanent care, this is an excellent way for both parties to get acquainted.
Admissions
Sometimes an elderly person’s needs can no longer be managed at home. At that point, a review is conducted with the prospective resident or their representative to discuss available options.
Our manager assesses whether we can meet those needs. This may involve gathering information and, if needed, visiting the prospective resident at home. When Social Services are involved, a written statement of care needs from a healthcare professional is obtained.
Emergency admissions are accepted under certain circumstances. Our priority is to ensure that our care home is the right choice for the resident and that we can fully support their individual needs and preferences.
Care Plans
We create a written plan outlining how we will meet your needs, preferences, likes, and dislikes. This plan is developed with your input and regularly reviewed alongside an assigned key worker.
Our fees are competitive and based on a fixed charge for each room. Additional charges may apply for residents with higher care needs or dependencies.
